IVANA SLADKY BUXBAUM - VIOLIN, VIOLA

She was born 1956 in Pilsen (Czech Republic). There she studied violin with Jindriska Holotova on the conservatory since 1972. During her time as a student she had her first recitals, recordings with the Czech State Radio and performed as a soloist with symphony orchestras. 1974 she was award winner of the Mozart-competition in Prag.
1976 -1978 she was member of the radio symphony orchestra in Pilsen. 1977 she was award winner oft he interpretation competition in Brünn and in the same year she obtained her diploma in violin performance.
1978-1980 she was member of the opera orchestra in Pilsen, and became 2nd concert master. From 1980 until 1986 she attendet Hochschule für Musik in Vienna in the masterclass of Wolfgang Schneiderhahn. 1982 she foundet the Duo Sladky-Ueda (violin and piano).
The following years she worked together with Haydn Sinfonietta Wien, with the 1. Female chamber orchestra, the Vienna Chamber orchestra and other emsebles. 1985 she became Austrian citizen.
1985 she became member of the NÖ – Tonkünstler Kammerorchester under Bijan Khadem-Misssagh, 1988 of the Amadeus Ensemble under Walter Kobera. 1986-1987 she continued her studies at the Hochschule in the class of Gerhard Hetzel, the first concert master of Wr.Philharmonic orchestra. 1989-1991 she was conductor and soloist in the k.and k. Hofdamenkapelle.
1989 she startet teaching at Franz Schubert conservatory, where she became head oft he Violin Dept. She was teaching students of more than 20 countries. Since 1990 she is member the Vienna Hofburorchester. She has toured throughout Europe, Noth America and Jaoan. She is playing a violin of Frantisek Drozen.
