ANDRIJA PAVLIC - CONDUCTING, CHAMBERMUSIC

Born in Sarajevo (1959, Bosnia and Hercegovina), studied at the Music Academy in Sarajevo conducting and piano; Further studying (1990 – 1993) at the Music University in Vienna with Prof. Lajovic (conducting) and Prof. Goertz (coaching). At first coach (1982) and after the conductor (since 1986) at the Sarajevo State Opera. Assistant and coach at the National oper (Volksoper) in Vienna to U. Theimer and I.Karabtschevsky. Since 1992 he teaches (choir, operatic studio, orchestra and conducting) at “Prayner” Conservatoire, “Gustav Mahler” Conservatoire, Vienna Music Academy and since 2017 at R. Wagner Conservatoire.

In the last decades he was also occupied with experimental productions – Music- theater (Pierot lunaire, Il servo padrone, Sebastian in Traum etc.). He is chief-conductor of Pons Artis Orchestra and Pons Artis Ensemble (contemporary music) in Vienna (since 1993). Since 2001 he is guest-conductor in the State Opera of Belgrade and Novi Sad (Serbia), since 2003 in the State opera in Skopje (Macedonia) and since 2008 in the State opera in Sarajevo. In the Saison 2005 / 2006 he was chief-conductor in the State Opera of Belgrade (Serbia) and in the Saison 2006 / 2007 he was guest-conductor in the Janacek Opera Brno (Czech Rep.) Since 2001, he is guest-conductor by the Summer Opera Festival in Gars am Kamp (Austria). Since 2012, he is the first guest-conductor of Irkutsk symphonic orchestra (Russia). He worked a.o. with National Symphonie orchestras of Plovdiv, Pleven, Pazardjik, Ruse and Stara Zagora, RTS symphonic orchestra Belgrad, Janacek symphonic orchestra, Kanazawa symphonic orchestra, National RT symphonic orchestra of Albania, Mostar symphonic orchestra, Irkutsk symphonic orchestra and Sarajevo philharmonic orchestra. He has concerts in Austria, Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Albania, Czech Republic, Polen, Japan and USA. Languages : German, English, Italien.
